Molly practices in the areas of commercial & business litigation, insurance litigation, family law, injury litigation, and alternative dispute resolution. She has served as lead counsel in numerous trials in state and federal courts during her thirty years in practice. She has appeared before the Tennessee Supreme Court, the Tennessee Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and was admitted before the United States Supreme Court in 2013. In addition to her litigation practice, she is also listed by the Tennessee Supreme Court as a Rule 31 mediator and mediates family law matters, insurance coverage disputes, personal injury cases, and business disputes. Sarah practices in the areas of labor & employment law, commercial & business litigation, and government relations & municipal law. Her expertise in employment law includes both litigation and advice on employee discipline, discrimination matters, wage-and-hour claims, restrictive covenants, and conducting internal investigations. Prior to joining Burch, Porter & Johnson, Sarah served as a law clerk to both the Honorable Bernice B. Donald (United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit) and the Honorable Sheryl H. Lipman (United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee). She played a pivotal role in representing concerned citizens in their successful attempt to halt the Byhalia Pipeline project that would have directly impacted several historically significant Memphis neighborhoods and the Memphis Aquifer.
